RESPECT
Show examples of /me's and /y
Ask them to show you how they salute, pay attention to their detail, for it will help in deciding whether to not they make it into the branch. Possibly give them situations in which they need to answer specifically for this section.
PTS/Permission to speak is always active during security meetings, and in the Provost Branch it is active in front of higher-ups (Marshal and Higher). PTS can be granted or denied by the higher-ups within the meeting. (In order to make sure you are heard, type /y PTS)
Speak when you are spoken to. (Type /y PTS, sir/ma’am once, and if denied then wait until the higher-up will be able to answer your questions)
You must always salute your higher-ups within the Security Division, and give handshakes to the research division, along with stepping to the side of the hallway to make way for your higher-ups.
If a higher-up gives you orders, you must follow them.
MATURITY
As a Provost you are expected to act maturely and professionally. You are the police of the foundation, you set an example for the SO’s and how they should be acting.
You do not ask to be a Provost, You earn it. Same with MTF.
If you are found to be impersonating a higher-up either by name, or pretending that you are actually a higher rank, you will be demoted completely from the Provost Branch, no arguments.
ROLEPLAY
Do an exercise in which the Cadets-in-training are to do Combat RP, attempting to throw each other to the ground.
For Passive RP, give examples of either looking around, coughing, handshaking and etc.
Show examples of Fear RP using two Security Provosts.
Give examples of when Pain RP would be set into play, i.e. getting shot, broken limb, or any sort of injury.
Passive RP is highly encouraged within the branch, either when you’re on patrol, or posted somewhere. (Passive RP being the animation of your character through /me’s in a calm and docile environment)
You are expected to have more detailed /me’s, not simply ‘/me detains’
If you are found to be Fail RPing in any way, you will be getting a warning. If it happens once again, then you will be subject to demotion.
Follow Fear RP (Only applies when 2 or more guns are on you, or if you are completely unarmed and have a weapon on you)
Follow Pain RP (If you are injured either do to a fight or an encounter with an SCP, i.e. you getting a leg injured, then you must RP that pain, either by alt-walking to stimulate a limp, or using /me’s to show off your character is in pain)
RELATIONSHIPS IN THE FOUNDATION
Do not threat any foundation personnel. You are to be respectful, even if they have broken rules.
Do not threaten the MTF, or take the MTF as threats. They are there to help, and if they are breaking rules, you may detain them.
You are able to detain trainees for breaking rules. (ie defacing foundation property)
Respect your higher-ups orders and wishes. If a researcher higher than you is asking for assistance, then you are expected to assist, them or get the correct rank to assist them.
FACES
Front Face: Face or turn right to the direction of the highest in command (facing forward to your commander)
Center Face: Look or turn right to the highest in command (if they are moving from left to right, you are expected to look left and right)
Left Face: Ninety (90) degrees to your left.
Right Face: Ninety (90) degrees to your right.
About Face: One hundred eighty (180) degrees to your right.
FORMATIONS
Line/Simple firing line: A horizontal line with the commanding officer in the center
Column: A single file line with the commanding officer as lead.
Double Column: Two vertical columns/single file lines, being far enough away from each other so that the commanding officer could walk in between them. Commanding officer would be in leading in the center.
Advanced firing line: Two horizontal, one in front of the other, with the front line crouching down. The line behind them would be standing up, able to fire without hitting each other. Commanding officer would be in the center of the line standing up.
Box formation: Officers standing to the front-left, front-right, back-left, and back-right of the commanding officer/escort within the center.
Diamond Formation: An officer to the commanding officers left, right, front, and back, surrounding the commanding officer/escort.
Wedge Formation: Similar to a flock of ducks or an arrow head, in which the commanding officer would be in the center front, having the officer's position to his back-left and back-right.
RANKS IN MP BRANCH
Explain and show what each rank in the Provost Branch looks like and what their job is.
Provost General: Highest within the branch, can promote/demote or execute anyone within the branch with a given reason. Usually patrols the entire facility to check on Provosts and assign posts, but can be found mostly in EZ.
Provost Captain: Second highest within the branch, can promote/demote or execute Head Marshals or lower within the branch with a given reason. Usually patrols the entire facility to check on Provosts and assign posts, but can be found mostly in EZ.
Provost Lieutenant: Third highest within the branch, can promote/demote or execute Grand Marshals or lower within the branch with a given reason. He resides within the EZ, assisting the MTF and assigning patrol routes to any provost unit under him.
Head Marshal: Fourth in command, can promote/demote Marshals and below (though expected to check with the Lt or higher first). Reside in HCZ/LCZ to watch over Marshals and Provost units.
Grand Marshal: Fifth Highest in command, can promote/demote MP's to Senior MP's. They are expected to Patrol the HCZ and LHCZ.
Provost Marshal: You can promote/demote MP’s and lower. You are expected to be training cadets and recommending anyone for ranks within the division. Reside in HCZ/LCZ to be teaching and training Cadets.
Senior MP: You cannot promote/demote anyone, but you may recommend Cadets for MP. You are first defense against CI and will be residing in EZ and MTF base command. You are expected to be leading standard provost units in the event that you are the highest up in the area, or appointed by the Captain.
Military Provost: Cannot promote/demote anyone, but you can recommend Cadets for standard provosts. Similar to the Senior MP, you will be residing in EZ and Gate A, and you are expected to follow after orders, and remain mature, even with as boring as it may get. (I suggest you Passive RP while in MTF Base command or in EZ).
Provost Cadets: Cannot promote/demote or recommend. This is the rank in which you will learn how the provost unit runs. You will reside in LCZ under Marshals and Head Marshals, who are expected to be teaching you.
CODES AND LOCKDOWN PROCEDURES
Code Green: You are to patrol or remain posted at where ever the Marshal (or higher) has assigned you.
Code Yellow: Remain on high-alert, but at your assigned posts.
Code Orange: Military Provosts will be posted at the choke point at the MTF Base Command and at Gate A, having Senior Provosts or higher there to assist and lead the counteract. Marshals will form groups of Cadets and will post themselves at the transfer points, and varied areas within HCZ. Head Marshals will be paired with the Captain, wherever they may be.
Code Red: Senior Provost and Military Provosts remain at Gate A and EZ, while Marshals and Cadets have the research staff evacuated to EZ.
Code Black: Provost units assist in evacuating the entire facility, making sure that no one is left behind (including themselves).
Foundation Lockdown: Remain at their posts, and make sure the ranks remain where they are supposed to aswell, depending on the type of lockdown.
